Our Model

Prism North America is a faith-based, values-based school that serves students across North America with a mission of creating a sanctuary for our students. We believe that as the world becomes more polarized, dysfunctional, and fragmented by the societal crises at both a moral and natural level, we are called to develop children who can find safety inside the boundaries established by the word of God in their homes and schools.

To that end, Prism North America seeks to provide an opportunity for K-12 students to learn in a hybrid-environment that is accessible to students across North America regardless of geographic location. The school is governed by the word of God and manifests Biblical values in every aspect of its operations and instruction. Inside of this safe context, our students learn to interface with the world from a position of strong ethics, secure identity, critical thinking, and deep levels of wisdom and understanding. Our philosophy of education is built upon this platform and this mission and purpose dictate these key features of our educational program.

Values-Based, Faith-Based

Prism is part of the NorthGate system of schools and as such adheres to the key components of a Values-Based Education system. Being a values-based education system does not merely indicate the adherence to a specific curriculum, but the adherence to a values-based approach in all of the school’s operations, training, evaluation and the selection of staff members who will embody the Biblically-based values articulated in the Prism Creed.

Promotes Critical Thinking

We believe students should graduate from Prism North America prepared to interface with the world around them. Therefore a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum has been developed to ensure students not only master academic skills, but also develop the critical thinking skills necessary to be leaders and pillars inside their respective communities.

Hybrid

Because the school exists for students across the North American region, classes are conducted in a hybrid format. Therefore teachers must develop mastery of virtual education and students and families must demonstrate a commitment to the key components of success for virtual and hybrid instruction.

Holistic

Students who graduate from Prism North America should be well-rounded and able to serve, lead, and enjoy the abundant life that God has for us. Therefore students are expected to be contributing members of their respective classrooms and communities and are exposed to significant opportunities for service, leadership, and enrichment beyond simply academics.
